We are living in interesting times and amongst the chaos what we need now, more than anything is men and women with calm, clear minds who are capable of level headed thinking.
Understand this next sentence without any doubt.
”We can’t fully control who leads us from the outside, but we can control who leads us from the inside and we can lovingly guide others to this safe space.”
You see…….
“The transformation of the world is brought about by the transformation of oneself because the self is the product and a part of the total process of human existence. To transform oneself, self-knowledge is essential; without knowing what you are, there is no basis for right thought, and without knowing yourself there cannot be transformation. One must know oneself as one is, not as one wishes to be, which is merely an ideal and therefore fictitious, unreal; it is only that which is that can be transformed, not that which you wish to be. To know oneself as one is requires an extraordinary alertness of mind, because what is is constantly undergoing transformation, change; and to follow it swiftly the mind must not be tethered to any particular dogma or belief, to any particular pattern of action. If you would follow anything, it is no good being tethered. To know yourself, there must be the awareness, the alertness of mind in which there is freedom from all beliefs, from all idealization, because beliefs and ideals only give you a color, perverting true perception. If you want to know what you are, you cannot imagine or have a belief in something which you are not. If I am greedy, envious, violent, merely having an ideal of non-violence, of non-greed, is of little value. The understanding of what you are, whatever it be -ugly or beautiful, wicked or mischievous- the understanding of what you are, without distortion, is the beginning of virtue. Virtue is essential, for it gives freedom. The Untethered Mind by J. Krishnamurti
Just imagine a world of transformed souls capable of being in life and living from a space of harmony and love. We have a duty and a responsibility to share what we know in whatever way seems clear to us, without fear of judgment or remorse. What I have come to see through the various political turmoils experienced in Scotland is that it really doesn’t matter what is happening around me, it only matters how I hold and use my thoughts about it and how then I engage in my ensuing discussions. When I talk from a clear head and a loving heart I respond to turmoil and when I come from a busy mind and depleted energy I react to life events causing even more turmoil and chaos. This is why it is important to remain calm and level headed and capable of critical thinking and to check the information being presented to us before passing it on.
During the Independence referendum in Scotland I chose to be active and involved and I will, without doubt, do the same should the referendum be held again in this changing world.
Consider what is happening in the world around you – We all have a duty to speak up against injustice, unfairness and hostility.
I have come to see that a truthful loving discussion is the most beautiful gift you can give to others, where there is no need to hide or lie, to talk with somebody without the lies or sarcasm, no deceptions, no exaggerations or any of the things that people use to confuse the truth.
What if we all went out there and started these conversations. All you need is a grain of truth, a word, a feeling.
Do it now ……..what is stopping you?
Take care, be naughty and let life live through you
All my love
